How much do RFID jewelry tags cost?

UHF jewellery RFID tags typically run from a few cents to around $0.20–$0.50 per tag depending on format, volume and supplier — more than a paper barcode, far less than the shrinkage a missed count hides. Handheld readers are a few hundred dollars. For most stores the hardware pays for itself in the first found discrepancy.

What's the difference between RFID jewelry tags and labels?

Tags are pre-formed dumbbell or hang-tag designs that loop through the piece; labels are self-adhesive RFID inlays you stick to an existing tag. Both carry the same chip and both work with ZSolTech — tags suit rings and chains, labels suit boxed items, watches and certificates.
